With support from WorkSource Reentry services, Bobbi transitioned from incarceration into employment and an apprenticeship in a career she loves.

For Bobbi, preparing for a successful return to the community began while she was still incarcerated at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.

Through WorkSource, Bobbi received information and resources to help her plan for life after release. That support continued when she returned home and connected with a case manager who helped her navigate the challenges of reentry.

At her first meeting at the WorkSource Center, Bobbi met Elena, whose encouragement and guidance helped her feel comfortable, supported, and optimistic about the future.

The program also provided essential materials to help Bobbi get started, along with ongoing assistance and communication as she worked toward her goals.

Building Skills and Finding Purpose

Today, Bobbi is employed and participating in an apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience in work she enjoys.

The opportunity has brought more than a paycheck. Bobbi describes feeling physically and mentally engaged, motivated, and excited about her future.

She also looks forward to receiving her apprenticeship card, an important milestone in her career journey.

“Today, I’m working and participating in an apprenticeship, doing what I love, staying active both physically and mentally, and most importantly, feeling that I have a purpose,” Bobbi shared.

For Bobbi, the combination of practical assistance and compassionate case management helped make a challenging transition into an opportunity for growth.

Her experience shows how reentry services can connect people with meaningful work, career development, and a renewed sense of purpose.
